Job Overview

We are seeking a freelance writer with a background in geopolitics and international relations.

The position is with Global Peace Foundation (GPF) Indonesia, a registered nonprofit that promotes international peace and solidarity.

Qualifications
  • Deep understanding and strong interest in international affairs.
  • Ability to independently collect and analyze international news and geopolitical trends.
  • Excellent writing and editing skills to produce clear, accurate, and insightful articles.
  • Prior experience in relevant institutions or organizations is preferred.
  • Possess a bachelor's degree or work experience in political science, international relations, public affairs, law, business, or communications.
  • 0‑3 years of work or internship experience in multinational corporations, businesses, intergovernmental organizations, or non‑profit organizations.
  • Strong writing skills, strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
  • A keen interest in international politics and ESG issues is preferred.
  • Critical thinkers who can interact with executives and influence peers.
  • Highly collaborative, results‑oriented individuals who can work effectively within a diverse group of stakeholders.
  • Willingness to travel and work across multiple cultures and time zones.
Responsibilities
  • Collect and organize international news and geopolitical information according to the company guidelines.
  • Write and edit articles to ensure quality and accuracy.
  • Communicate with the editorial team to revise and optimize content based on feedback.
Compensation

Accepted contributions range from $100 to $500 USD per article, and from $1,000 to $3,000 USD per report, depending on scope and impact.

A portion of the fee can be paid in advance as a deposit before starting to write.

Payment methods are flexible and can be negotiated.
