Overview
The position will have a primary responsibility in contract administration activities of EPC for sewage treatment development project at Duri kosamb, West Jakarta, Indonesia. The activities include claims, variation, subcontracts, invoices and change control. The position is also required to support Project Management Team such as Project Manager/ Deputy Project Manager/Project Controller for their activities and supervise document controllers.
Responsibilities
- Liaise with the project management team and negotiate with Employer (Government Organization), Engineer (Consultant), other partners and subcontractors under contractual conditions (FIDIC), including claims and variation.
- Analyze contracts and subcontracts to identify risks and opportunities; prepare contract addenda and subcontracts.
- Develop claim strategies collaboratively with the project team and prepare claim letters/documents with other members.
- Advise the project management team on deviations between contract and subcontract conditions and actual executions.
- Draft contract and subcontract documents, notices, or claim letters with accurate references to the contract and subcontracts clauses.
- Report to the team in Overseas Headquarter frequently and develop claim strategies collaboratively.
- Arrange meetings, prepare presentation materials and minutes of meetings for the Employer, Engineer, JO members, Subcontractors and other parties; interpret for the PM and other non-Indonesian speakers.
- Support other members with invoices and change control, including developing the procedures.
- Ensure contractual documents are recorded physically and digitally.
- Lead the insurance claim process for recovering a damage falling under the policy.
- Prepare monthly progress reports (some parts) and presentation slides for internal and/or external use.
- Supervise the Document Control team with Project Controller.
Qualifications
- Fluent business-level English (verbal and written).
- Ability to effectively interact with others and high coordination ability.
- Knowledge of major aspects of Engineering, Procurement, Construction (EPC), project controls and financials.
- Extensive knowledge of FIDIC, international construction projects and Indonesian laws.
- Strong drafting skills for contractual claim notices and letters in English and Indonesian.
- Minimum undergraduate degree from an accredited college or university in a relevant discipline.
- Over 5 years of relevant working experience.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office software.
- Preferable working experience with foreign companies (Japanese, Korean, etc.) and ODA projects.
- Strong personality, positive attitude and ability to work efficiently under pressure and tight deadlines.
