Overview

We’re Hiring an Accounting Officer – Site Based!

We’re looking for an experienced Accounting Officer to join our on-site finance team. You’ll be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting and payables operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely processing. This is a critical position for supporting plant operations with strong coordination across finance, tax, and procurement functions.

Work Location: Site Palembang LPG Plant Palembang

Reporting Line: This position reports directly to the Sr. Accounting Supervisor

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree (S1) in Accounting
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as an Accounting Officer in the manufacturing or oil & gas industry
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • ERP system knowledge (preferably SAP)
  • Holding Brevet A & B certifications
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and tax regulations
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken)
  • Able to work independently and meet deadlines
  • Mentally and physically healthy (as per Corporate Pre-Employment MCU Standard)
Responsibilities
  • Manage daily accounting and accounts payable operations
  • Review and verify all incoming invoices for accuracy, authorization, and compliance with policies
  • Record invoices correctly using appropriate GL accounts
  • Handle both import and domestic service invoices, including contractors and manpower
  • Ensure compliance with Delegation of Authority (DoA), SOPs, and company policies
  • Ensure timely invoice payments and capture early payment discounts
  • Process employee reimbursements in line with policy and documentation standards
  • Reconcile payment batches with bank statements and coordinate bank-related correspondence
  • Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities
  • Reconcile AP sub-ledger with the general ledger
  • Prepare aging reports and outstanding liabilities reports for management
  • Maintain documentation and audit trails for all transactions
  • Support internal and external audits with required documentation
  • Collaborate with tax, procurement, warehouse, plant accounting, vendors, and banks
  • Ensure accurate withholding tax and compliance with relevant regulations
  • Monitor and analyze vendor advances to prevent abnormal entries
  • Maintain and use company equipment and facilities responsibly
