Job summary

A logistics and shipping company in Jakarta is seeking an experienced accounting professional to control the General Ledger and manage financial reporting processes. Job description

Responsibilities

Control the flow process of General Ledger. Maintain and review the GL (full set of accounts) by ensuring data is in/out properly.

Monitor journal posting from all finance areas, reclassification, and reversal journals related to the closing period.

Review account balances, identify monthly significant mutations, and flag unusual transactions.

Review aging accounts receivable/payable/advance account/deposit, identify significant settlement process problems.

Maintain the fixed asset application module for addition & disposal of fixed assets, calculate depreciation, and reconcile to general ledger.

Coordinate with the tax department in calculating Corporate Income Tax.

Develop company’s accounting policies in accordance with Indonesian GAAP and IFRS.

Collaborate with external auditors to audit financial statements until presentation of audited financial statements.

Prepare periodic closing processes monthly and at year-end, ensuring all transactions are recorded.

Prepare monthly consolidated financial statements (Balance Sheet, Income Statement, profitability report per division, cash flow, fixed asset report) for directors and management.

Improve corporate financial reporting system by participating in discussions and workshops requested by the company and parent company.

Requirements

Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or equivalent.

Required languages: English, Bahasa Indonesia.

Preferably a coordinator/supervisor specializing in Accounting or equivalent.

At least 3 years of working experience in the related field at the same level is required for this position.

Have experience in KAP for at least 3 years, preferably from a big four accounting firm.

Preferably have experience in a port/shipping company.

Strong leadership, good personality, and communication skills.

Willing to work at Cilandak.
