We are seeking a dynamic and talented Global Commercial Finance Director to work collaboratively with finance, commercial, and strategic leadership. The Commercial Finance Director leads a team of analysts responsible for the financial planning, forecasting, and reporting of our commercial activities across diverse end markets, product technologies, and customers. This individual is a key leader responsible for ensuring best practices and analysis are used to develop and execute profitable commercial growth. They will also establish methodologies, reporting, and systems across MCC to provide actionable commercial insights.

Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will hire and develop a team that will become part of the Corporate Finance team. High energy and team orientation are essential qualities expected from both the new Director and their team.
Specific responsibilities include:
Strategy and Planning
- Lead the creation of the commercial aspects of MCC's annual strategic planning process. Collaborate with finance and commercial leaders to vet strategies and ensure growth plans align with MCC's organic growth opportunities.
- Work with commercial, marketing, and innovation teams to prioritize strategies and growth opportunities that maximize shareholder value.
- Lead the annual budgeting process for commercial activities, ensuring plans are aligned with long-term growth and profitability targets. Coordinate with finance and commercial teams to ensure budgets are detailed across accounts, technologies, end markets, and manufacturing locations.
- Align the annual budget with other forward-looking data sources, including internal SIOP data, commercial pipeline data, and market information.
Business Partnership and Leadership
- Engage with commercial leadership on contract reviews and long-term account analysis for top accounts.
- Partner with commercial leadership to evaluate pipeline performance and develop metrics.
- Collaborate to improve sales performance metrics and demand planning accuracy.
- Assess revenue assumptions in growth-related capital investments.
- Develop, lead, and manage a team of financial analysts to achieve team goals.
Forecasting
- Lead monthly revenue forecasting, ensuring integration of inputs from commercial, SIOP, and plant sources. Analyze variances vs. budget and prior year.
- Work with IT and finance teams to refine forecasting tools and improve demand indicators.
- Coordinate with SIOP to enhance forecast accuracy and expand forecasting horizons.
Reporting
- Work with the commercial team to analyze account performance and incorporate customer insights into reporting.
- Create comprehensive revenue performance reports across multiple dimensions, providing insights into performance drivers.
- Evaluate performance by end market and link to macro indicators, including customer, supplier, and competitor performance quarterly.
- Collaborate with the global pricing team to improve price performance tracking and revenue analysis.
Qualifications:
- 8+ years of success in manufacturing or distribution, with progressive finance and accounting responsibilities
- Preferably 3+ years in a commercial finance role with complex business exposure
- Strong leadership development skills
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- Excellent communication, listening, and attention to detail
- Proactive, solutions-oriented, and self-motivated
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, pivot tables); familiarity with Power BI, Hyperion EPM Suite, and Qlikview preferred
