This rewarding role is perfect for someone who is committed to making a meaningful impact on young people with a range of special educational needs, behavioural challenges, and emotional regulation difficulties.
As a SEND Child Support Worker, you will support pupils across KS3 and KS4 who require additional help with learning, communication, social interaction, or sensory needs. Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing one‑to‑one and small‑group support
- Helping pupils engage fully in classroom learning
- Supporting emotional regulation, communication and social development
- Using visual aids, structured routines, and sensory strategies
- Assisting with personal care where needed
- Creating a safe, inclusive, and encouraging environment
- Working collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, therapists, and families
We welcome applicants with experience from SEND settings, schools, nurseries, alternative provisions, residential care, or healthcare environments. You should:
