A major healthcare provider in the UK is looking for an experienced individual to manage laboratory equipment and processes across various Blood Sciences disciplines. This role offers the opportunity to support out of hours Blood Sciences testing and handle duties in Pathology specimen reception within a dynamic environment. Ideal candidates should have experience in diagnostic pathology and a commitment to quality standards. The position involves a 24/7 rotation including nights and weekends.
The successful applicant will be able to work with laboratory equipment and processes across the Blood Sciences disciplines (Biochemistry, Haematology, Blood Transfusion and Central Pathology Reception) whilst being primarily based within Central Reception. The vacancy is primarily based at Epsom Hospital, with potential future changes to other SWLP laboratories. The role is a pan pathology position offering the opportunity to support out of hours Blood Sciences testing and to handle associated duties in Pathology specimen reception.
Epsom and St. Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust forms part of the South West London Pathology partnership, delivering a single, integrated pathology service across South West London and beyond. The department supports a range of medical specialities and services across two sites, and has joined the SWLP partnership with St George’s University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, Croydon Health Services NHS Trust and Kingston Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.
