Job summary
A leading recruitment agency is seeking an experienced Interim Project Manager for a 3-month contract in London. This role involves leading high-priority change projects within a Local Authority's Housing Improvement Programme, with a focus on organisational change and service transformation. Interim Project Manager – Change & Transformation (Housing / Local Government)

Salt is working with a London Local Authority to recruit an experienced Change Project Manager to lead high-priority projects within their Housing Improvement Programme. This role is about organisational change and service transformation.
- Proven background delivering complex change projects at pace (service or organisational transformation, not tech rollouts).
- Organisation design and operating model development experience.
- Local Government or Housing sector experience – housing repairs or compliance transformation is highly desirable.
- Stakeholder management at Director level – able to influence senior leaders and frontline teams.
- Hands-on delivery: moving quickly from design through to implementation.
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of change projects, ensuring pace and impact.
- Drive organisational redesign, workforce alignment, and service transformation.
- Produce options appraisals, business cases, and delivery roadmaps.
- Provide clear governance, risk management, and reporting.
- Support change management activities including comms, training, and transition planning.
This is an opportunity for a senior change professional to deliver visible improvements that directly impact residents and services.
