Job summary
A leading organization in financial standards is seeking a Junior Costings Officer in Stoke-on-Trent. In this fast-paced role, you will support the Finance team by assisting in financial reporting and cost analysis. Ideal candidates should be proficient in Excel, have a keen eye for detail, and thrive in a hybrid work environment. This temporary role offers £13.68 per hour for 38.75 hours a week.

Your new company
A leader in their field based in Stoke-on-Trent is looking for a Junior Costings Officer on a temporary ongoing basis.
Your new role will be a fast-paced role and will include but not be limited to:
- Assist in producing product cost and financial information, in line with Cost and Management Accounting principles.
- Help prepare and reconcile stock valuation information in accordance with accounting standards.
- Provide support to senior colleagues with cost and margin analysis.
- Assist in maintaining the database of sourced product purchases.
- Contribute to the weekly analysis of stock and production data.
- Support the Finance team in analysing Perpetual Inventory information and follow up on any actions.
- Assist with the preparation of journals and reports used in monthly management accounts.
- Provide ad-hoc analysis and administrative support to the Finance team as required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP systems would be advantageous but not essential.
- Strong diligence and accuracy.
As a Junior Costing Officer, you will provide support to the Costing Officer and Finance Business Partner - Operations in ensuring the accurate and timely provision of cost information. You will be highly adaptable and be able to self-motivate in a hybrid working environment. You will have a keen eye for detail and a positive, 'can-do' attitude to working.
Temporary ongoing role £13.68 per hour, 38.75 hours per week Location office based in Stoke.
