Job summary
A specialist SEN staffing agency is looking for an experienced professional to provide 1:1 support for high-needs ASD pupils in Westminster. You will implement low-demand strategies to aid engagement and transitions while collaborating with teachers. Applicants must have proven experience with ASD, strong communication skills, and the right to work in the UK. This role offers immediate start opportunities for those who meet the qualifications and are ready to make a difference.
Qualifications
- Proven experience with ASD high-needs pupils and/or PDA profiles.
- Strong behaviour management rooted in empathy, not confrontation.
- Excellent consistency, reliability, and communication.
- Up-to-date Enhanced DBS (or willing to apply).
- Right to work in the UK.
Responsibilities
- 1:1 support for a high-needs ASD pupil.
- Using low-demand flexible strategies to reduce avoidance and escalation.
- Supporting regulation engagement and transitions.
- Working with SENCO/class teacher on daily strategies and adjustments.
- Maintaining a calm predictable environment.
- Following safeguarding and school behaviour plans at all times.
