The Carpenters Arms is a charming countryside pub nestled in the picturesque farmland of Tonbridge, Kent. With nine cosy hotel rooms, we provide a warm and welcoming retreat for both locals and visitors alike.

We’re on the lookout for a Kitchen Porter Superstar to join our team! Personality and hard work are key.

We’re looking for proactive, passionate individuals who support our pub’s vision and values. Our philosophy is simple: We CARE—about our guests, our team, and the experience we create together.

The role will support the head chef in maintaining standards in the kitchen. We are a busy kitchen, and a proactive approach is a must in this role.

This is a live-out role, and we believe in rewarding hard work. Our service charge and tips typically add an extra £3.50 per hour to your wage. Teamwork is at the heart of everything we do, ensuring every shift is one we’re proud of.

What we look for in a Kitchen Assistant:

We are looking for an existing Kitchen Assistant or an individual looking for their next step in their hospitality career, who has a passion for working within a reliable team that delivers high-quality standards. We need hard-working and dedicated people behind the scenes to help our restaurants run smoothly and ensure that they are always clean and tidy. As the successful Kitchen Porter, you will:

• Be an active hands-on person with a passion to work hard as part of a team
• Have high standards and a great work ethic
• Show willingness to learn new skills and be an active team player with excellent communication skills
• Work alongside your kitchen team and demonstrate your creativity and ability by helping to deliver top-quality service
• Demonstrate great planning and organisational skills to complete day-to-day tasks
