Job summary

A supportive care organization based in Cardiff is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to join their hospitality team. This role offers 33.25 hours a week with a pay rate of £12.21 per hour. The kitchen assistant will assist with meal preparation, maintain a clean kitchen environment, and support kitchen operations. Overview

As Kitchen Assistant, you’ll be a key part of our hospitality team, to support our Head Chefs with daily kitchen duties. This is a hands-on role where you’ll make a real difference to the lives of the people we support by helping deliver safe, nutritious, and enjoyable meals in a clean and welcoming environment.

Responsibilities
  • Assisting with meal preparation and service
  • Maintaining a clean, tidy, and hygienic kitchen and dining environment
  • Following food safety standards and hygiene practices at all times
  • Supporting the smooth running of kitchen operations during staff absences or busy periods
What We’re Looking For
  • At least 1 year of experience working in a kitchen setting
  • A reliable and professional approach to work
  • Someone who is patient, kind, and compassionate, with a true desire to learn and develop
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • A positive, friendly and flexible attitude to working across multiple services
  • MUST HAVE A DRIVING LICENSE AND VEHICLE
