We're looking for a Senior Kitchen Manager / Head Chef to join the Butlin's Team based in Bognor Regis.

We truly believe that variety is the spice of life and in this role you'll have the opportunity to lead and develop the skills of our team in our fantastic food venues of the Buffets Department.

You will lead a brigade of up to 30 team members across one main kitchen serving up to 2000 in four restaurants, then two smaller kitchens serving up to 500 guests for their daily breakfast and dinner. You will ensure the Junior Kitchen Managers are leading each shift, maintain compliance to all food safety and Health & Safety policies, place orders for all food items with our onsite warehouse and ensure compliance to all HACCP processes.

You will communicate with the Food Development Team in respect to operational challenges and establish and develop a highly motivated, pro-active culinary team with the highest ethical standards that deliver a cost-effective and quality-oriented service product opportunities. You will enforce cost control procedures and monitor waste and breakage as well as have a collaborative approach with kitchen and front of house team to ensure a smooth and efficient operation.

We are looking for individuals with previous experience in a similar level role managing a large scale volume-led kitchen operation, with experience of managing team performance and a clear track record of developing people effectively in a commercial culinary environment.

You will need to be hard working and determined, a reliable person who likes to get things done and who will look for better ways for the team to consistently deliver our brand standards.

We are looking for candidates who are energetic and enthusiastic, high spirited and fun loving and who will understand their role and the value they can add to the guest experience by unleashing the potential of the team.

You should have also passed your Level 3 Food Safety qualification and be confident in leading a team to continually deliver high standards in a fast-paced and busy kitchen environment.

Typical working hours: working 40 hours per week, five days over seven, covering 40 hours per week and are part of a bonus scheme. Shifts range between 10am - 8pm with the occasional breakfast shift.
