Job summary

A local authority in the West Midlands is looking for a Commissioning Officer to engage in the commissioning of adult social care services. This hybrid position offers a daily rate between £250 - £270, with an initial contract length of 6 months starting in January 2025. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing commissioning projects, engaging stakeholders, and ensuring quality standards are met. Relevant experience in adult social care and strong analytical skills are essential for this role.

Qualifications

  • Experience working within adult social care (local authority, health, or VCS).
  • Knowledge of the commissioning cycle.
  • Experience of contract and project management.
  • Understanding of adult social care legislation and policy.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver commissioning strategies aligned with quality and customer outcomes.
  • Manage and monitor contracts for performance and compliance.
  • Engage with service users and stakeholders in service design.
  • Support commissioning and decommissioning projects.
