We are seeking an outstanding consultant in Public Health. Based within the Public Health and Communities hub at Gloucestershire County Council, you will work closely with the Director of Public Health, members of the public health team and colleagues across partner organisations.
As a Public Health Consultant, you will play a pivotal role in improving the health and well-being of the communities in Gloucestershire. You will support the Director of Public Health in achieving core public health objectives, including reducing health inequalities, protecting health, and contributing to the quality of local health and social care services.
As one of the few councils in the country coterminous with its Integrated Care Board, Fire Service and Police Authority, with a thriving VCSE sector, this role provides a huge opportunity to drive the public health agenda forward. With the partnerships we have developed, this role will have a real opportunity to integrate the public health responsibilities into the core business of the council whilst ensuring that it meets its duties under the Health and Social Care Acts.
Alongside your excellent leadership skills, you will be able to demonstrate a strong track record of working in public health. Developing powerful relationships with partners and stakeholders you will influence local commissioning to deliver better health outcomes and reduce health inequalities.
