Qualifications

Job description

We are seeking to recruit a Site Engineer to join our Engineering team in the Aylesbury area. The Site Engineer is responsible on site for other junior engineers and assists in the construction operations. All applicants must hold a full driving licence and have access to a vehicle due to the remote locations of our site compounds. You will liaise with the Sub Agent and Section Foreman to allocate labour, plant and materials to carry out works activities to the required standards, programme and budget. You will be responsible for working with the setting‑out team, managing the performance and development of junior engineers, identifying and resolving technical problems on site in liaison with the senior team and Sub‑Agent, monitoring and coordinating subcontractors and assisting with the production of programmes, progress reports, resource and cost plans and contributing to financial forecasting.

  • HNC/Degree (Construction/Civil Engineering related) or equivalent and working towards institute membership (ICE)
  • Demonstration of knowledge and practical application of Site Engineering activities combined with construction supervision skills.
  • Experience in utilities, earthworks, heavy structures or drainage is essential for this role.
  • Full driving licence required.
  • You must hold one of the following competencies: CSCS White, White‑Yellow, Red – Experienced, Black – Manager or Gold – Supervisor.
