Job summary

A provider of social housing is seeking an External Fire Safety Contracts Manager to oversee fire safety and building safety projects. In this role, you will manage major works from inception to completion, ensuring compliance with fire safety regulations including FSO 2005 and BSA 2022. Ideal candidates will possess an HNC qualification and experience managing contractors. Strong analytical skills and the ability to develop financial forecasts are essential. The role is based in Reading, UK.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrable experience in a similar role within a housing association or contractor.
  • Strong understanding of Fire risk assessments and key performance indicators (KPIs) in construction projects.
  • Full Driving licence with use of own vehicle.

Responsibilities

  • Managing fire safety and building safety major works projects from inception to completion.
  • Overseeing contractor and consultant performance.
  • Developing and maintaining financial forecasts.

Skills

Knowledge of fire safety and building safety regulations
Strong experience in managing contractors and consultants
Demonstrable analytical skills
Experience in site inspections and quality control
Ability to develop financial forecasts

Education

Qualification to HNC level in a building related discipline
Fire Safety qualification (e.g., NEBOSH)
