Our client is a well-established accounting practice based in Ashbourne seeking an experienced Accounts Technician to join their team. This role is ideal for someone with solid practice experience who enjoys the technical side of accounts preparation and providing essential support within a busy team. The successful candidate will play a key part in ensuring smooth day-to-day operations within the department, supporting with compliance tasks and client queries.
- Preparation of accounts to trial balance for a range of clients
- General bookkeeping and accurate financial record maintenance
- Supporting senior accountants and partners as required
- Ensuring precision and attention to detail in all financial documentation
- Communicating professionally with clients both verbally and in writing
- Minimum three years’ experience working within an accounting practice
- Proven ability to prepare accounts to trial balance
- Excellent organisational skills and meticulous attention to detail
- Strong verbal and written English communication skills
- Comfortable working in a support-focused role within a team environment
- Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., Sage, Xero, QuickBooks) is desirable
- Competitive salary of €35,000 – €45,000, depending on experience
