Job summary
A leading technology recruitment firm is seeking Java Developers for a 100% remote role. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Java and experience with Spring Boot and AWS. They will design and develop backend services, build scalable APIs, and mentor junior engineers. This position offers the flexibility of remote work and opportunities for growth.

- Design, develop, and deploy backend services using Java.
- Build and maintain scalable APIs.
- Perform code reviews and mentor junior engineers.
Skills
Java Developers - 100% Remote role
SC Clearance is preferred but will sponsor exceptional applicants
- Design, develop, and deploy backend services using Java and Spring Boot
- Build and maintain scalable APIs
- Analyse schemas and write optimised SQL queries against large datasets
- Work closely with DevOps on Docker containerisation and cloud deployment in AWS
- Contribute to architectural decisions and shape technical roadmaps
- Write clean, well-tested, and maintainable code
- Perform code reviews and mentor junior engineers
- Strong expertise in Java (8/11/17+)
- Proven experience with Spring Boot and microservices
- Strong background in AWS (EC2, S3, Lambda, IAM)
- Knowledge of Kafka or similar messaging systems
- Advanced SQL skills with query optimisation
- Experience building REST / JSON APIs
- Proficiency with Docker for local and cloud deployments
- Excellent communication skills
- Knowledge of JavaScript & ReactJS
- Familiarity with Amazon Aurora / RDS
- Experience with JUnit and testing frameworks
