The Lead Distribution Manager, Indirect Sales owns the global commercial strategy for all third-party sales and intermediary channels. This includes Aggregators, global distribution systems (GDSs), Online Travel Agencies (OTAs) Travel Management Companies (TMCs), and corporate travel intermediaries. The role is pivotal in driving revenue, margin, and market share through commercially sound strategies, data-led decision-making, and strong partner leadership.
This role combines strategic vision with hands-on commercial execution — leading negotiations, managing senior partner relationships, and delivering channel performance. It also requires a deep understanding of the evolving distribution tech landscape (NDC, APIs, dynamic offers), while bringing internal stakeholders together to deliver aligned, future-fit solutions.

· Lead commercial performance management for all indirect channels including KPIs, dashboards, and revenue targets.
· Negotiate and manage strategic agreements with GDS providers, aggregators and key intermediaries.
· Collaborate cross-functionally with RM, Finance, Digital, and Network to align commercial priorities and protect yield.
· Lead commercial input into technical and product enhancements (e.g. NDC, API connectivity, merchandising evolution).
· Identify commercial risks and opportunities, propose mitigations, and act with agility in changing market dynamics.
· Engage with senior internal stakeholders and represent the airline with industry bodies and distribution partners.
· Drive automation and efficiency across indirect channels in collaboration with Product and Tech teams.
· Deputise for the HoD, Distribution & Channels, including interacting at Director level as and when required.
Requirements of the Role
What you will need to do the role:
· 7+ years of experience in airline distribution, commercial partnerships, or sales strategy roles.
· Strong commercial acumen with demonstrated success delivering revenue growth through third-party sales channels.
· Deep understanding of airline industry distribution tech, trends, and regulatory dynamics (e.g., NDC, ONE Order, retailing).
· Experience negotiating complex commercial agreements with global B2B partners.
· Financial fluency – able to build and present business cases, understand margin drivers, and manage budgets.
· Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at senior levels.
· Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret performance data and translate into actionable strategy.
· Proven leadership skills with the ability to develop talent and drive accountability within a high-performance team.
· Excellent cross-functional leadership and stakeholder management skills.
· Highly analytical with experience delivering actionable insight through dashboards, KPIs, and root-cause investigations.
· Commercial awareness to ensure technical decisions support broader revenue, margin, and product strategies.
· Self-starter with the ability to set clear expectations, goals and KPIs for your area of responsibility and hold yourself accountable for delivery.
· Ability to travel as required.
What you’ll get in return:
· Competitive base salary
· Up to 20% bonus
· 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, with opportunity to buy 5 additional days leave after 12 months in role
· BAYE, SAYE & Performance share schemes
