Girard Resources & Recycling, LLC is currently taking applications for a full-time position as a Heavy Equipment and Dump Truck Mechanic Apprentice. We have a fleet of dump trucks, crushers, screens, excavators, chippers, and loaders. • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as checking vehicle performance and fluid levels, changing oil, filters, and troubleshooting mechanical issues.
• Assist with complex repairs under the guidance of an experienced Heavy Duty Mechanic.
• Adhere to safety procedures and maintain workplace cleanliness.
• Learn to use diagnostic tools to identify and address mechanical issues.
• Dismantle and reassemble heavy equipment.
• Repair and replace damaged or worn parts.
• Clean, lubricate, and perform routine maintenance on equipment and dump trucks.
• Inspect parts for damage or excessive wear.
• Diagnose faults or malfunctions to determine necessary repairs.
• Test mechanical products and equipment after repairs to ensure proper performance and compliance with manufacturer specifications.
• Operate and inspect machines or heavy equipment to diagnose defects.
• Perform service repairs and maintenance on mobile equipment and crushing plants.

• Ability to read and understand operating manuals, blueprints, and technical drawings.
• Perform repairs and maintenance using specialized tools and equipment.
• Knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, fuel, and air brake systems.
• Strong willingness to learn, proactive attitude, and good communication skills.
• This role requires physical labor and is suitable for those who enjoy working with their hands and have an interest in mechanics.
