A local government authority in Wigan is seeking a Team Leader to oversee a supported living property for individuals with Autism and learning disabilities. As a Team Leader you will lead a large team within a supported living property for individuals with Autism and learning disabilities.
You will oversee daily operations, ensuring person centred support plans are implemented effectively for residents. This includes creating plans through an asset-based approach, focusing on individual’s unique gifts, goals and aspirations.
A Team Leader will also manage a diverse workforce, providing training, guidance and support to ensure high quality care.
Mayfield house is regulated by the Care Quality Commission and the Team Leader will ensure compliance with regulations and best practices.
You should have a good understanding of Autism and effective behaviour management strategies.
You will have experience of Positive Behavioural Support and understand the importance of recording behaviours to inform and develop individuals personalised plans.
Experience of effectively implementing systems and processes that will support continues improvement of the service.
You should exhibit strong empathy, patience and excellent communication skills to connect with residents and their carers.
You should have leadership experience, demonstrating decisiveness, and the ability to motivate a large team.
You should be positive, accountable, courageous and kind.
