Opportunity to join the experienced Chelmsford team at SWECO Building Control, working on prestigious UK commercial projects within a knowledgeable team. They are open to surveyors at various levels, with minimum class 2D, and senior/principal surveyors at class 2F or 3.
Key Responsibilities
- Achieve specific objectives as defined.
- Collaborate with the team to develop objectives and resolve issues.
- Contribute to bids and understand contract risk profiles.
- Conduct thorough inspections of commercial buildings for compliance.
- Assess plans and designs for legal compliance.
- Manage large-scale technical projects with complex aspects.
- Take responsibility for contractual liabilities.
- Identify and generate new business opportunities.
- Engage with contacts to generate sales and relationships.
- Develop technical skills and mentor team members.
- Ensure all proposals and tenders follow the Sweco process.
Job Requirements
- Significant experience in Building Control, especially commercial schemes.
- Registration as a Building Inspector (minimum 2D).
- Understanding of building regulations and construction standards.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team.
- Relevant qualifications in building control or related fields.
