Job Title: Finance Business Partner

Location: Warwick (Hybrid 2 days a week onsite)

Pay Rate: 500 per day via umbrella (inside IR35)

Contract length: Initial 6-month contract (potential to extend)

This role sits within a major UK infrastructure organisation responsible for operating and maintaining the high-voltage electricity transmission network across England and Wales. The business plays a critical role in enabling the UK9s transition to a net zero energy system by 2050.

This is a hands‑on, flexible Finance Business Partner role supporting the Customer and Network Development (CND) division during a period of transition and restructure. You will work directly with a senior finance lead to provide insight, challenge, and support across forecasting, performance analysis, and financial decision‑making.

• Act as the key Finance contact for the CND Leadership Team, supporting decision‑making.
• Hold the business accountable from "plan to performance," ensuring forecasts are credible and performance risks are addressed early.
• Provide financial insight by combining business and performance data.
• Ensure investment decisions are financially sound, with clear understanding of accounting and regulatory impacts.
• Navigate ambiguity and prioritise effectively in a fast‑paced environment.
• Respond to ad‑hoc requests efficiently.
• Build strong relationships and balance the needs of finance and business stakeholders.
• Support financial forecasting, review actuals and cost bases, and conduct performance analysis.
• Investigate financial issues and provide actionable insights.
• Assist with process refinement post‑restructure.

• Qualified Accountant (ACCA, CIMA, or ACA) with planning, forecasting, and budgeting experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
• Ability to thrive in a matrix environment.
• High attention to detail and analytical rigour.
• Inquisitive, proactive, and self‑starting mindset.
• Ability to synthesise large datasets and conduct robust analysis.
• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.
• Experience with SAP and SAC essential; Alteryx and PowerBI are a plus.
• Financial modelling and data analysis experience.
