A leading healthcare provider in Coventry is seeking a TB Clinical Support Worker to provide essential support within the TB service. This role involves working closely with specialist nurses to ensure patients receive high-quality care. Key responsibilities include monitoring treatment adherence, conducting community outreach, and maintaining patient records. Ideal candidates should possess strong communication skills and organisational abilities. This is a fixed-term role for 12 months to cover maternity leave, with optional secondment for internal applicants.
TB Clinical Support Worker, Fixed term/Secondment 12 months to cover Maternity leave
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic person looking for a diverse role to join our established community TB service. You will be working alongside our specialised TB nurses as part of the multi-disciplinary team providing high quality TB care in collaboration with other services to provide a seamless service for people receiving TB treatment, their contacts and the wider community in accordance with nationally and locally agreed guidelines.
The post holder will be trained in phlebotomy and participate in large incident TB screening and screening of New Entrant to the UK. The post holder will support patients with their treatment through directly observed therapy and will assist in locating and encouraging patients to engage with the TB service. The post holder will become knowledgeable about TB signs and symptoms and participate in activities to raise awareness of TB locally.
A car driver with a full UK licence and access to a car with business insurance is essential for this role. An international driving licence is not accepted.
Successful applicants will need to provide an immunisation and vaccination report, from either their current UK occupational health provider or their UK GP.
