A leading cancer care facility in Greater London is seeking a consultant in the Head, Neck and Thyroid Unit to manage surgical cases of oral and maxillofacial malignancies. Responsibilities include attending multidisciplinary team meetings, providing emergency cover for reconstructive surgeries, and collaborating with the plastic surgery team. This is a consultant post within the Head, Neck and Thyroid Unit, with the primary role being the surgical management of oral and maxillofacial malignancies. The Unit has considerable referral volumes of patients with recurrent cancers, and pioneers robotic and minimally invasive surgery and complex free flap reconstructions for these tumours. The key aim of this post will be to provide reconstruction and specifically involving free‑flaps to the service. This will be in collaboration with the plastic surgery team with respect to after‑hours emergency cover for free flap reconstruction who provide in‑hours support for Head and Neck reconstruction.
