A leading charity in the UK is seeking an experienced Instructional Designer to join its Digital Learning team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. In this role, you will create engaging and accessible digital learning content that empowers staff and volunteers. Your responsibilities include understanding learning needs, delivering high-quality eLearning, and ensuring content quality. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in instructional design and a strong proficiency in digital learning tools, contributing to the charity's mission to enhance end-of-life care.
Marie Curie is the UK’s leading end-of-life charity. We are the largest non-NHS provider of end-of-life care in the UK, the only provider across all 4 nations, delivering community nursing and hospice care across the country, while providing information and support on all aspects of dying, death, and bereavement. Our leading research pushes the boundaries of what we know about good end-of-life, and our campaigns fight for a world where everyone gets to have the best possible quality of life while living with an illness, they’re likely to die from.
You’ll join Marie Curie’s Digital Learning team within People and Organisational Development on a fixed-term basis (12-month contract). The team works across the organisation to design and deliver high-quality learning for staff and volunteers, supporting everything from clinical practice and compliance to fundraising, leadership and professional development. It’s a collaborative, creative team that values innovation, accessibility and evidence-based learning design.
As Instructional Designer, you’ll create engaging, accessible learning content that equips people across Marie Curie with the skills and knowledge they need to do their best work. Your designs will support safer practice, stronger leadership and more effective ways of working - directly contributing to Marie Curie’s mission to ensure a better end-of-life experience for all.
