A renowned regional accountancy firm in Sheffield is seeking a Xero Specialist to support experienced managers in onboarding clients onto Xero. This new role blends bookkeeping and account preparation, requiring strong Xero knowledge and practice experience. Qualifications

  • Practice trained or transitioned into industry with further accounts exposure.
  • Must have strong working knowledge of Xero.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with upskilling legacy clients onto Xero software.
  • Process client invoices and perform bank reconciliations.
  • Reconciliation of foreign currency accounts.
  • Completion of client bookkeeping activities.
  • Assist with the preparation of financial statements and drafts of year-end accounts.
  • Assist managers with client budget preparation.
  • Assist with the preparation of quarterly client VAT returns.
  • Communicate with clients via email and telephone as needed.

Our client is a well‑known regional accountancy practice based in Sheffield looking to appoint a Xero Specialist in a newly created role, supporting two experienced managers. This firm are specialists within the entertainment industry and have excitingly acquired a new portfolio of clients leading to the creation of this brand‑new position!

This is a firm that we know very well and have placed with consistently over recent years – they provide an excellent modern environment and a fantastic social culture coupled with an excellent local business reputation. The position offers a perfect blend of bookkeeping duties and delving into further accounts preparation activity, including the prep of financial statements and drafting year‑end accounts. You’ll work closely with two excellent managers who are leading the onboarding of this new client portfolio onto Xero, upskilling them in the process.

The ideal candidate for this role will be practice trained (and may still be in practice) or will have since transitioned into industry to gain further accounts exposure and have a strong working knowledge of Xero. I would highly recommend any bookkeeping specialists with Xero experience to consider this as their next move!
