A social purpose organisation in the East of England is seeking a Through the Gate Support Worker to assist participants in their transition after release. This home-based role will involve working directly within prisons and probation offices to facilitate important meetings and ensure that participants are linked with the necessary support workers. Successful candidates will need to pass required vetting procedures and engage with a variety of stakeholders to make a meaningful impact on the community.

Through the Gate Support Worker. The position will be a home‑based role, but the expectation is that they are participant facing everyday working in prisons, hubs and probation offices across the region as required. The post holder will provide peripatetic cover across a region supporting participants through the gate. The Through the Gate Support Worker will support the PRI and Through the Gate elements working closely with custody Support Workers to facilitate and complete the three‑way handover meetings either by face‑to‑face, video conferencing or telephone. They would act as a single point of contact for when participants have been released to either liaise and/or facilitate the TTG initial meeting and ensure engagement with support workers accordingly.
The successful candidate must pass HMPPS vetting as is a requirement of the role.
