Job summary
A leading manufacturing consortium is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Plant Manager to oversee a high-volume site in Clydebank, Glasgow. This role involves driving operational excellence, managing a workforce of 180, and ensuring safety and efficiency standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing, especially in lean methodologies, and experience managing large teams. This is a full-time position with a salary of up to £100K annually and a range of benefits.

Experienced Manufacturing Plant Manager to take full responsibility for a high-volume manufacturing site in Clydebank Glasgow. This is a career-defining opportunity for a proven leader to drive operational excellence and lead a workforce of 180 staff.
- Lead plant operations ensuring Safety Quality Delivery and Cost (SQDC) standards are consistently achieved.
- Drive lean initiatives waste reduction and efficiency improvements across all processes.
- Motivate mentor and develop the site team creating a culture of accountability and engagement.
- Oversee a workforce of 180 with a strong presence on the shop floor.
- Monitor budgets costs and resources with full operational KPI ownership.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering quality logistics HR finance) to streamline operations.
- Manage relationships with unions / works councils and ensure effective communication.
- Represent the site in regional initiatives sharing best practice and contributing to wider improvement programs.
- Proven experience managing a large manufacturing plant or operation within a multinational matrix organisation.
- Strong track record in lean manufacturing KPI management and continuous improvement.
