A manufacturing organisation in the United Kingdom is seeking a Sales Manager to oversee commercial activities across multiple divisions. We are a long-established, privately owned manufacturing organisation located in the North West. The business specialises in a wide range of industrial packaging products.
As Sales Manager, you will work closely with senior leadership to oversee all commercial activities across multiple divisions. This is a key position combining account management, business development, and strategic sales planning.
You’ll be responsible for maintaining and developing relationships with key customers, managing tenders, preparing quotations, resolving issues, and leading negotiations. The role requires strong collaboration with internal teams to ensure lead times, product quality, and profitability targets are consistently achieved.
The position offers a blend of office-based work with flexibility for customer visits and some home working. You’ll have the autonomy to make decisions, influence production and sales processes, and directly shape how we serve our customers.
We’re seeking someone with an entrepreneurial mindset who can bring fresh ideas and commercial insight to support our ambitious growth strategy and expansion into new markets.
Manage and grow key customer relationships across all business units
Lead tender processes, pricing strategies, and contract negotiations
Oversee customer service and complaint resolution to maintain satisfaction
Collaborate with operations and sales administration to optimise lead times and margins
Analyse performance data, including quote-to-sale conversion and profitability
Contribute to strategic planning and market development
Proven background in sales within the packaging or related manufacturing sectors
Experience managing large or blue-chip accounts
Strong commercial acumen with a track record of driving growth and profitability
Excellent communication, negotiation, and people management skills
Confident working with CRM systems and Microsoft Office tools
Analytical mindset with attention to pricing and margin control
Full UK driving licence
