Job description

Come and join one of the UK’s largest providers of complex care. We proudly employ over 4000+ people - no matter what your experience, we have jobs for everyone.

Are you a Senior Support Worker or healthcare professional with over 18 months of hands on experience looking to take the next step in your career? We have an exciting opportunity for you!

At Active Care Group, we proudly employ over 4,000 people, and we’re always on the lookout for passionate individuals. Right now, we’re searching for a confident, socially driven Trainer to join our Learning & Development team in the South London area.

As a Trainer, you’ll have the unique opportunity to develop new skills and further your career in a non-traditional trajectory. If you naturally enjoy mentoring others or have always wanted to share your knowledge, this could be the perfect role for you!

What We Offer:
• Full support in gaining the necessary qualifications, knowledge and experience to excel in the role. Whether you already have an AET (Award in Education and Training) or need to work towards it, we have a clear and structured process to guide you.
• Hands-on learning: Start by observing training courses, then co-deliver sessions, and ultimately lead training sessions.
• The chance to enhance the skills and knowledge of our care teams, ensuring they are equipped to provide exceptional care to those with complex needs.

Role Overview: As a Trainer, you will be responsible for delivering and assessing mandatory and specialist training. This includes:
• Mandatory inductions and updates
• Practical skill assessments
• Ensuring colleagues are up to date and knowledgeable in delivering high-quality care

The successful candidate will be based in the South London area and will be expected to travel to Active Care Group sites and training venues within an approximate 100-mile radius including overnight stop overs.

At Active Care Group, we are committed to providing expert, compassionate care, and fostering an inclusive, supportive environment. Our values guide everything we do, and we are dedicated to ensuring all staff have the tools and support they need to succeed.

If you're ready to make a meaningful impact and help shape the future of our care teams, apply today!

What you'll be working:

The standard working hours for this role are 37.5 hours per week, from 9.00am to 5.30pm, Monday to Friday.

We understand the importance of a positive work-life balance, and therefore, if you require some flexibility to better suit your personal or professional needs, we encourage you to discuss this with us, and we will do our best to accommodate your preferences where possible.

What you'll have:

  • Training qualification i.e. Teaching & Assessing award L3, Mentorship award, Moving and Handling Trainer and/or Assessor, or willing to work towards.
  • Minimum of 18 months of occupational competency in Health & Social Care.
  • Experience working with individuals with physical and/or neurological conditions.
  • Strong presentation, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Computer literate, with the ability to adapt to diverse audiences.
  • A full UK driving license and access to a vehicle (travel may include overnight stays).
  • Successful candidates will be required to undergo an Enhanced DBS.

We also want to ensure that individuals with disabilities are provided reasonable facilities to participate in job applications or interviews to perform essential job functions. To support this, we are a Disability Confident committed employer.

What to look forward to:
