An opportunity has arisen to work in the ARU team/outpatients at St Peter's community hospital. This is to help cover maternity leave, for a band 5 registered nurse.
Our working hours are weekdays only (no weekends or bank holidays) from 8am till 4pm. The secondment opportunity would be for 4 days (30 hours) per week.
The team in ARU are very friendly and welcoming, and have gained a reputation in achieving a high standard of care for their patients, so a shared desire for maintaining this, including excellent ANTT skills due to the high risks of infection for immune compromised patients is essential. The team also pride themselves in their support for patients holistically, and being proactive in liaising with the MDT to manage their needs as opposed to being task focused. Their vision and core values align with Provide's Great Care, Community, Culture and Growth. The team welcomes new ideas/innovation and as a small team they very closely support each other. The team also develop good relationships with patients, and receive excellent feedback regularly.
Benefits of working in the team include free parking! Use of a kitchen with fridge/kettle/microwave, protected lunch times, learning opportunities, excellent team support.
Please do contact me (Liz Moore) to discuss further if interested.
