A healthcare provider in Wales is looking for two Band 6 Respiratory Nurses to join their respiratory team. Candidates should have NMC registration and a high level of clinical skills in respiratory nursing. An exciting opportunity has arisen for two Band 6 Respiratory Nurses to join the respiratory team within Hywel Dda. One will be based in Pembrokeshire and the other Carmarthenshire but may need to support Ceredigion at times. We are looking for an experienced registered nurse with a high level of clinical skills and theoretical knowledge in respiratory nursing.
The role will support the delivery respiratory services across Hywel Dda. This is likely to be within secondary care but could involve community work to ensure seamless, high-quality care for patients with respiratory conditions. The role involves close collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to enhance service integration and patient outcomes. The post holder will play a key role in strengthening respiratory nursing capacity and ensuring continuity of care across the system.
The respiratory nursing team provide specialist nursing knowledge and skills for people diagnosed with respiratory conditions. They provide multidisciplinary care planning and care interventions designed to reduce hospital admissions, with the ultimate aim of improving patient outcomes. The team work closely with respiratory consultants, multi-professional respiratory colleagues, primary care, and community-based nursing teams/services.
Excellent verbal/written communication and organisational skills are essential for this role.
