Job summary
A leading recruitment agency is seeking an experienced MIG Welder to join the night shift for a steel manufacturing company in Dudley. The role includes MIG welding structural mild steel, reading engineering drawings, and conducting quality checks. The position offers a 12-week temp to perm contract at £16.50 per hour, including a shift allowance.

We are currently working with a leading steel manufacturing company based in Dudley, who are expanding their team and seeking an experienced MIG Welder to join their night shift.
- MIG welder structural mild steel.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical diagrams.
- Utilise hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment to prepare materials for welding.
- Cut, shape, and assemble sheet metal and other materials using appropriate tools.
- Conduct quality checks on completed welds to ensure structural integrity and adherence to safety standards.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Assist in the assembly of finished products, ensuring precision and accuracy throughout the process.
- Proven experience in MIG welding within a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
- Familiarity with various hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment.
- Strong understanding of structural work and basic mechanical principles.
- Experience with assembly processes and mechanical knowledge is advantageous.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety procedures and quality standards in previous roles.
- 12 week temp to perm contract
- £16,50 inclusive of shift allowance
- Working hours 6pm to 5:30am Monday to Thursday
