Job summary

A leading resource management company is seeking an EC&II Commissioning Technician for a 12-month contract in Aldermaston. You will be responsible for executing commissioning tests and ensuring compliance with quality management systems. The ideal candidate has significant nuclear industry experience and holds relevant electrical qualifications. This role offers competitive pay at £54.29 per hour on a night shift schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to the Commissioning Quality Management System and apply procedures correctly.
  • Report job status to the Commissioning Manager.
  • Execute commissioning tests to schedule.

Skills

Experience in the nuclear industry
Electrical Commissioning experience
Ability to read and interpret Schematic drawings

Education

Recognised level 3 qualification in a related engineering / construction subject
IOSH Working Safely or IOSH Managing Safely or a CCNSG Safety Passport
18th Edition IEE Regulations (Electrical)
Level 3 in Periodic Inspection, Testing and Certification of Electrical Installations

EC&I Commissioning Technician

Reading

12-Month Contract (Night Shift)

Paying up to £54.29p / h

Key Responsibilities :
  • Adherence to the agreed Commissioning Quality Management System and ensuring that they correctly apply procedures, codes and standards to commissioning activities.
  • Functional inputs to Commissioning Deliverables.
  • Accurately report job status to the Commissioning Manager.
  • Input Commissioning Documentation (including Test Documentation, Commissioning Reservations).
  • Follow SSoWs to undertake works safely and report any issues in this regard.
  • Responsible for the execution of commissioning tests to schedule.
  • Responsible for the satisfactory completion of all commissioning execution records and results, and control of all raw data associated with the tests they carry out.
  • Input to the compilation and review of Commissioning LTQR packages
  • Contribute to the safe operation of site, including ESH focus cards
Required Skillset :
  • Experience in the nuclear industry
  • Recognised level 3 qualification in a related engineering / construction subject
  • Hold an IOSH Working Safely or IOSH Managing Safely or a CCNSG Safety Passport
  • Electrical Commissioning experience
  • CSCS Affiliated Card.
  • Previous site commissioning experience (nuclear)
  • 18th Edition IEE Regulations (Electrical)
  • Level 3 in Periodic Inspection, Testing and Certification of Electrical Installations
  • Knowledge in Loop Testing
  • Ability to read and interpret Schematic drawings
