Job description
The requirements listed in our job descriptions are guidelines, not hard and fast rules. You don’t have to satisfy every requirement or meet every qualification listed. If your skills are transferable and you are in the ballpark experience-wise, we'd love to speak to you.

FanDuel Group is a world-class team of brands and products that deliver sports betting, gaming and entertainment to millions of US sports fans every day. That’s no easy task, and wouldn't be possible without a fantastic team who have helped us pioneer new products and innovative features that make us a leader in the industry. Whether you’re looking for better career progression, improved financial security or just a better sense of belonging, we believe we’ve created a culture in which everyone can succeed, no matter how you got here.

The Position

We are looking for a Product Owner to join our MarTech Product team, where our goal is to provide the best generosity customer experience in the industry. This is a key role in a fast-paced sport tech and iGaming environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders across the business. If that excites you and you want to contribute to a dynamic, forward-thinking company, we’d love to hear from you.

The Role

The Product Owner plays a key role in our high performance product delivery teams, collaborating with colleagues in the Product and Software Engineering functions and working with stakeholders from across the global FanDuel business, including our Marketing, Casino and Sportsbook teams. You will be responsible for turning product objectives into actionable backlog items in the form of user stories and acceptance criteria, whilst prioritising product backlogs with the aim of streamlining value delivery and maintaining technical integrity of our platforms.

  • Partner with product managers and business stakeholders to shape product strategy, aligning on clear objectives and measurable outcomes for extending and enhancing our MarTech stack.
  • Apply your product, technical, and commercial acumen to collaboratively define innovative solutions that solve business problems and enhance colleague and user experiences
  • Play a central role in agile delivery teams, helping define scope, refine product backlog items, prioritize work, and ensure successful, iterative delivery
  • Act as a change champion, driving sustainable improvements across products and processes, and supporting the business throughout our MarTech transformation journey
  • Be an active contributor within the FanDuel Product community, sharing best practices and fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement

What We’re Looking For

Our next teammate might be a skilled Business Analyst already working in an agile environment, or a Product Owner comfortable getting into the details of technical delivery. It would be a bonus if you have experience of working on MarTech solutions, and know a CDP from a DMP or CEP, though league-leading analysis, collaboration and delivery skills are key.

  • Minimum of 5 years of previous product management, product owner, or technical business analysis experience, working with agile delivery processes used in software or web-based products
  • Technical working experience: successful track record working with enterprise systems, APIs, data feeds and/or low latency systems is highly desired
  • Someone who is adept at working on a daily basis with product, engineering and marketing colleagues, and who can self-manage and make regular progress on their assignments without guidance at every step along the way
  • You will be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, helping to provide clarity to delivery teams when priorities change
  • Clarity of thought: can get to the bottom of complex problems with resiliency, then define and refine actionable product backlog items
  • Clarity of communication: strong communicator in both written and verbal mediums, adapting approach for the audience so the key messages land every time. Ability to constructively challenge and question as well as actively listen
  • Brings a positive approach with them to work, and believes that product development is a team sport (but also wants to be the quarterback of the team)
  • Has an innate habit for continuous reflection and improvement with a mindset that there’s always something more to learn, someone new you should meet and get to know, and has new ideas that will take our products to the next level

What You Can Expect

  • Interesting work - working in a fast-paced and ever-changing industry, new problems and exciting solutions are never too far away. There are always opportunities to learn new skills and broaden your horizons
  • A sense of achievement - Our teams own their own software and when that awesome new feature ships to users and the positive feedback starts rolling in, you can feel really proud of what you and your team created
  • Personal development - clear and defined career pathways for every role at every level, a supportive manager, loads of learning opportunities and even 10% of your time to dedicate to your learning.
  • Belonging - everyone at FanDuel works for each other, we win together, make mistakes together and have lots of fun doing it.
  • Trust - A trusting work environment where productivity is valued above all else, giving you autonomy and ownership of your time and work
  • Great financial package - Including salary, bonus, pension, private healthcare, share save scheme, flexible working & holiday policy along with a number of other benefits.

Diversity, Equity and Inclusion

We endeavour to make our interview process as accessible as possible. If you need any assistance prior to your interview, including any reasonable adjustments, please don't hesitate to get in touch.

FanDuel is an equal opportunities employer. Diversity and inclusion in FanDuel means that we respect and value everyone as individuals. We don't tolerate bias, judgement or harassment. Our focus is on developing employees so that they reach their full potential.

Location: Our Scottish tech hub is based in central Edinburgh and is fitted with fabulous amenities including a Gym, showers, bike parking, gaming pods, multiple breakout areas, meeting rooms, a roof terrace and much more. We operate a hybrid model for the majority of our roles, where team members come together at the hub as required, typically 2 days per week.
