I am currently working with a residential children's home located in Rochdale. They are looking to hire a Senior Residential Children Support Worker offering £14.40 per hour plus bonuses, with sleep-ins paid at £50 and up to 10 per month.

Our client provides high-quality residential care for children and young people, across two houses, including a 4-bed EBD facility.

The ideal candidate will have knowledge of the children's home sector and act as a role model to the team they support. They should be confident, articulate, resilient, and experienced in working with various groups of children and young adults. They are open to considering Senior/Residential Support workers looking to step up.

The main duties include:

1. Promoting a happy and positive environment at all times
2. Demonstrably improving the lives of children and young people in care
3. Modeling relationship-based caregiving in all interactions
4. Establishing caring, secure relationships to help children feel safe, develop trust, and confidence
5. Ensuring accurate and timely record-keeping
6. Attending conferences, reviews, and meetings related to young people

1. Previous residential childcare experience
2. Ambition and a desire to see others succeed
3. A valid driving license (essential)
4. A Level 3 qualification in Children and Young People's Workforce (essential)
5. Knowledge of safeguarding children's procedures
