THE EMPLOYER IS: RAINBOW CHILD AND FAMILY CENTRETo assist the Leaders in providing a safe, high quality programme and care for children aged between 6 months and 14 years.

Responsibilities

• Help prepare and fully set out the room before children arrive and tidy up after the children/young people leave.
• Help provide and take part in all the group’s activities.
• To understand and realise the importance of play for the development of the child’s/young person’s physical, intellectual and emotional needs.
• You will be expected to arrive promptly and be present for the whole session.
• Attend and participate in staff meetings and assist in planning.
• Take part in special events and group outings.
• Encourage parental involvement and participant in the parental 'stay and plays'.
• Listen to, encourage, enable, stimulate and ensure the safe keeping of the children and young people.
• Keep completely confidential any information regarding children, their families or other staff.
• Help ensure the setting is a safe environment for children/young people, that equipment is safe, standards of hygiene is high and safety procedures are implemented at all times.

• Good mental and physical health.
