Job summary
A local government authority is looking for a proactive Chief Financial Officer to manage school finances in Devon. This role includes setting budgets, forecasting, and processing payments while coordinating with the wider finance team. Ideal candidates should have a background in finance or schools, possess exceptional accuracy, and communicate effectively with stakeholders. Education
We require an experienced, flexible, accurate and pro‑active person to manage our school finances. This role will involve forecasting, setting budgets, processing payments and liaising with auditors. The successful person will work as part of our wider finance team, whilst co‑ordinating all aspects of this important role within our school and acting as our Chief Financial Officer (CFO).
The successful applicant must possess a high level of accuracy and attention to detail and be secure in their use of financial systems. The ability to communicate confidently with all stakeholders is an essential part of this role. Previous experience of working in a school / finance environment, or an appropriate qualification, is required.
