RM Recruit is pleased to be partnering with our client to recruit an experienced Service Charge Accountant for an initial four-month interim assignment, with an immediate start.This role requires office presence up to once per week and the rest working from home.

This is an excellent opportunity for a highly skilled professional with a strong background in service charge accounting within the housing association sector. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in managing high-volume financial data and delivering accurate, timely reporting to support the organisation's objectives.

Key responsibilities
  • Managing and analysing large volumes of service charge data
  • Preparing, reviewing, and reconciling service charge accounts
  • Supporting year-end processes and statutory reporting requirements
  • Providing detailed financial insight and analysis to internal stakeholders
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and organisational policies
  • Business partnering with key departments across the organisation
  • Analysing key data and maintaining updates across multiple systems and platforms
  • Interpreting complex data sets and producing clear, accurate reports
Person Specification
  • You will have proven service charge accounting experience within a housing association (essential), alongside strong data analysis skills and confidence working with large datasets.
  • You will be an advanced Excel user and available to start immediately.
  • The role is hybrid, requiring one day per week in the West Midlands office, with the remainder of the time working remotely.
