A prominent NHS organisation in the UK seeks a dedicated Facilities Manager to oversee estates and facilities functions. The role includes managing services to ensure safety and cleanliness across various NHS buildings. Ideal candidates should have previous experience in a similar role, strong leadership skills, and a full UK driving licence. This role offers competitive compensation ranging from £31,049 to £37,796 per annum, with a supportive and enthusiastic team environment.
A rare opportunity has arisen to assist in the management of a large and diverse estates and facilities function for two NHS organisations.
Hertfordshire Community NHS Trust and Hertfordshire Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust have created an integrated estates function to develop and deliver local services to local people.
The Facilities Manager role will be key to the delivery of a successful facilities service to support the clinical and well-being strategies for both organisations and the local STP.
We are looking for an energetic and enthusiastic person to come and join our Estates and Facilities Team. If you like the idea of working and travelling across a range of NHS buildings in Hertfordshire, then the Facilities Manager role could be what you're looking for. We are a hard-working, motivated and supportive team covering a wide range of sites with varying facilities from hospital based and out-patient services to office-based Head Office environments for both Hertfordshire Community NHS Trust and Hertfordshire Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust.
The Estates and Facilities Team provide support to both Trusts, ensuring that the buildings are safe, clean and in good condition for our visiting patients, service users and visitors. We are a friendly and hard-working team who face daily challenges with enthusiasm. We liaise regularly and support each other with good communication, offering help and/or advice whenever it is needed.
We're looking for an experienced Facilities Manager with a background in estates and facilities services, ideally within the NHS or public sector. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a solid understanding of site operations, and the ability to manage staff and coordinate services effectively. You'll need good IT skills, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and a flexible, team-oriented attitude. A full UK driving licence and the ability to uphold the Trust's values are essential.
