A local government authority is seeking a Technical Assistant in Whitby to support the Highway Operation teams. Responsibilities include providing technical assistance, managing databases, and producing technical drawings. As a Technical Assistant, reporting direct to the Area Manager you will:
- Provide technical assistance to Highway Operation teams
- Contribute to the delivery of effective highway works through tasks as assigned by the Area Manager and identified through target setting andmonitoring, performance appraisal and development and training
- Management interrogation and co-ordination of complex databases and spread sheets
- Production of presentation quality maps, plans and technical drawings
- Contribute to the data collection to develop the revenue and capital scheme delivery
- Organising, preparation and implementation of permanent and temporary Traffic Regulation Orders as assigned
