About the Role

We are currently seeking an experienced Highways Ganger/Foreman to join our growing team on highways and infrastructure projects. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive and reliable individual who can lead site teams effectively, ensure high standards of health & safety, and deliver work to specification and schedule.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate gangs on highways projects, ensuring works are carried out safely and efficiently
  • Ensure all work complies with relevant health & safety standards and project requirements
  • Act as the main point of contact between site operatives and management
  • Monitor daily progress, manage site resources, and report any issues or delays
  • Support toolbox talks and site briefings
  • Maintain accurate records and site documentation
Requirements
  • SSSTS (Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme) - Essential
  • First Aid at Work - Essential
  • Proven experience running gangs on highways projects - Essential
  • Strong understanding of highways maintenance and construction methods
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to read and understand drawings and specifications
  • Full UK driving licence - Preferred
