Job description

PGG Wrightson Water has over 30 years of experience in the design, construction and maintenance of irrigation systems throughout New Zealand. To support the growth within our Ashburton branch we have an exciting opportunity for a full time Service Foreman to lead the team from a hands‑on basis.

In this role you will beresponsible for the efficient repairs of domestic and irrigation pumps and pivots and other servicing required within the service department to meet customer and internal expectations in keeping with PGG Wrightson's commitment to quality product and service.

Your day could range from workingto plan and prioritise service jobs, to hands on training of technicians and working alongside them on the job.

We are looking for someone who ideally has hands on experience in Irrigation servicing/maintenance however someone from a mechanical background outside of this field would also excel in this role.

Skills & Experience:

  • Hands onexperience insupervisinga team
  • Ability to prioritise work and manage multiple deadlines
  • Experience in servicing irrigators and pumps with knowledge of the irrigation and/or agricultural sectors
  • Experience in monitoring/managing inwards/outwards goods is an advantage
