Position Overview
We are looking for a Software Engineer to develop and maintain Contributions applications. This position is for an experienced Microsoft SQL Server Developer. The candidate will join an experienced database development team! We design, develop, and support fully-fledged and functioning platforms with databases or servers. We will be involved in migrating and then maintaining existing applications to a cloud platform!
Responsibilities
Working with product team, architects and other partners to ensure all systems meet requirements and are in line with company long term strategy, using disciplined software development processes.
Develop SQL scripts, stored procedures, and queries to support and enhance new and existing application requirements. Independently supervise and optimise the application to improve performance, efficiency and security.
Implement CI/CD pipelines to deploy infrastructures and applications across multiple environments. Ensure functionality and infrastructure is qualified by automated testing
Collaborating closely with colleagues in sites overseas, and internal customers on trouble shooting, analysis and solution on maintenance / support issues.
Researching new and emerging technologies. Evaluating and making recommendations for new tools, technologies, and platforms to implement.
Required Skills:
Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering or related fields
3 - 5 years recent development experience with T-SQL using Microsoft SQL Server 2012 or above
Experience in Azure SQL Database is important. With good understanding of the Microsoft Azure cloud technologies
Experience with DevOps and deploying services to cloud platforms using Terraform is highly desirable
Experience in other programming languages used across Azure, like .NET/C# and Python is a plus
Familiarity with Oracle database and PL/SQL are beneficial
