A healthcare provider in Oldham is looking for a part-time Decontamination Technician to join their Sterilization and Disinfection Unit. The role involves cleaning and sterilizing reusable medical devices while following strict quality standards. Strong adherence to procedures and ability to plan workloads with little supervision are essential. We have a vacancy available for a part-time 25 hours Decontamination Technician to work with the Hospital’s Sterilization and Disinfection Unit (HSDU) at the Royal Oldham Hospital, which is part of the Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust.
Shift patterns: 12noon - 5pm (Monday - Friday).
The HSDU is responsible for the decontamination and sterilisation of invasive reusable medical devices. The HSDU is a purpose-built facility at the Royal Oldham Hospital and serves as the sterile services department for the organisation and beyond, ensuring that medical devices are made safe for use between each patient. The service is quality-driven, in line with the department\'s ISO 13485 Accreditation.
