We're recruiting for an Enterprise Risk Analyst to join us on a 12-month fixed term contract. You'll work with our 1st line Enterprise Risk team, who are responsible for driving the Risk and Control agenda across the UK health business. The role involves supporting assurance audits, analysing risk data, identifying root causes, and providing actionable insights so that AXA Health can meet its strategic and regulatory obligations.
The position is a full‑time, 35‑hour week, hybrid with two days per week in the Vitality Bournemouth Office. Flexibility around working patterns is available and internal candidates are encouraged to apply. As a precondition of employment, you must be eligible and authorised to work in the United Kingdom.
What you’ll be doing
- Work with Risk Oversight Managers, AXA UK and business subject‑matter experts to support assurance audits and deep dives, ensuring regulatory requirements and internal frameworks are adhered to.
- Provide responsive and agile support to the Health Executive Committee on emerging risks, areas of concern and new strategic relationships.
- Collate and analyse management information and create reporting for internal governance meetings, delivering a clear view of enterprise risk that highlights actionable insight.
- Monitor and analyse enterprise issues and incidents, identify root causes, detect trends, recommend process and control improvements, and keep action owners accountable to ensure timely change.
- Build strong stakeholder relationships across the business to ensure consistent understanding of enterprise risk, control and conduct matters, engaging across the three lines of defence as appropriate.
- Support the embedding of standards and impact assessments to evaluate how changes, transformations and new initiatives affect resilience, customer outcomes and risk profiles.
- Assist Risk Oversight Managers in driving resilience across large‑scale change programmes, including digital transformation, ensuring robustness and recovery capabilities are integrated.
- Track, mitigate and record risks and controls for daily and transformation activities; assist with risk reporting, root‑cause analysis and applying lessons learned for continuous improvement.
Required experience & skills
- Experience undertaking risk‑based assurance audits, ideally relating to risk standards, impact assessment, change and transformation risk management and technology risks.
- Familiarity with risk analysis of incidents and events that require root‑cause and lessons‑learned assessment.
- Understanding of relevant insurance/healthcare regulation and supervisory expectations for large complex financial institutions and/or clinical providers, especially operational resilience or clinical risk.
- Proven stakeholder management and influencing skills, including the ability to engage business teams on the value of assurance activity and influence buy‑in of proposed solutions to issues.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to create key reporting.
- Commercial and pragmatic outlook, able to work at pace, respond quickly to change and remain delivery‑focused.
- Proactive with a focus on continuous improvement, able to prioritise competing interests complexity ambiguity.
- Ability to support the production of Steering Committee and risk‑management forum packs.
