Role Overview: A Ruby Developer is required for our higher education client to be part of a small and highly productive development team. You will provide project based digital development and consultancy in the client's bespoke Ruby based technical environment (including Typecase and Typecase for Courses)
- Extensive, high-level experience of Ruby-based digital development, with a demonstrable portfolio of work.
- Extensive experience of working with standard Ruby-based development software and workflows, including Gitlab etc.
- In-depth technical experience of development on digital infrastructure, including the Typecase and Typecase for Courses content management systems, or equivalent experience of similar Ruby-based content management systems.
- A formal qualification in Ruby-based digital development is advantageous, but not essential.
- Ability to get up to speed with complex systems and infrastructure quickly and efficiently.
- Proven ability to take the lead on digital development tasks
- Experience of advising on technical strategy and infrastructure.
- Experienced working in Agile development teams.
- Experience of working with Jira or similar project management software.
