Job Description

Job Purpose:

The solutions architect works with project teams to understand their requirements, support best practices, and ensure high quality of the existing finance and financial planning solutions, while managing integration with other strategic platforms. Focus areas include technology standards, architecture framework, and governance of current and future features and technologies.

Main Responsibilities:

• Evaluate technical requirements and identify value-adding solutions and technologies
• Review and guide implementation approaches and artefacts
• Manage risks and issues proactively during solution evaluation
• Mentor implementation teams on architectural best practices
• Create and maintain solution architecture and design documents
• Standardize functionality across geographies and applications, promote reusability
• Ensure compliance of processes and developments within finance applications
• Manage technical issues and coordinate resolutions
• Develop prototypes as needed
• Partner with SAP and integration partners on pilot programs
• Advise on testing strategies and areas

Candidate Requirements:

Qualifications:

• Degree in Finance, Computer Science, IT, or equivalent
• Fluent in English; Spanish, French, and German beneficial

Experience:

• 5+ years SAP FICO configuration experience
• 3+ years financial planning experience with Anaplan
• Experience with hosted finance apps, Concur, Ariba
• Experience with integration platforms like Webmethods
• Knowledge of Central Finance and Group reporting
• Project management experience
• Familiarity with waterfall and agile methodologies
• Business process analysis and optimization skills

Technical Skills:

• SAP FICO configuration expertise
• Anaplan configuration skills
• Understanding of SAP finance architecture
• Knowledge of finance master data management
